Error · color-contrast

Text that is hard to read

Some text is too light against its background. People with low vision, older customers, and anyone on a phone in sunlight can't read it. This is the most common finding in accessibility lawsuits.

Who it leaves out: people with low vision · mobile users

How to fix it

Darken those texts slightly. We calculated the closest colour that passes and verified it; your developer applies it in minutes.

In the code

Darken the text (or lighten the background) until the ratio reaches 4.5:1 (3:1 for text ≥ 24px / bold ≥ 19px).

Our scanner writes and tests this correction for you.
