Error · button-name

Buttons with no name

Lighthouse / axe call it: Buttons must have discernible text · Buttons do not have an accessible name

Icon-only buttons (menu, cart, close) are read as just "button". A blind customer can't tell the cart from the close button.

Who it leaves out: blind people (screen readers) · people who can't use a mouse

How to fix it

Each icon button gets a hidden name ("Open cart"). Nothing changes visually. Code included.

In the code

Put visible text inside the <button>, or add aria-label="…" when it only contains an icon.
