Focusable elements that aren't controls

Lighthouse / axe call it: Elements in the focus order should have an appropriate role

Plain elements receive keyboard focus without being buttons or links; users land on something that does nothing.

Who it leaves out: people who can't use a mouse · blind people (screen readers)

How to fix it

Make them real controls or remove focus. Developer task.
